The Five Things I learned from R.A. Salvatore:

In Books/Authors on March 8, 2013 at 7:48 am

I attended R.A. Salvatore’s book signing in New Brunswick, NJ on Thursday evening.  I’ll tell you the full story later, but here are a few things I learned from the author himself.

  1. Read the publisher’s fine print or you’ll end up killing Chewbacca.
  2. D&D is infinitely more complex than I imagined.
  3. Readers who adopt your world into their lives will resent some of your character changes. It’s a compliment.
  4. Quit if you can. If you can’t quit, then you’re a writer.
  5. School can crush the literary spirit from you, but it only takes one book to change your life.
